This image captured the top honor in the People category in the National Geographic Society's 2007 Global Photography Contest.

"The details of the window and the glass, the color palette and intensity of the children's faces ... it feels more like a precious object than a mere photograph," said judge Cristina Mittermeier, director of the International League of Conservation Photographers.
